A group of tour-operators, related to the sector of cruises, visited the municipality last weekend with the aim to discover the municipality and its attractions as a tourist destination of the ships that dock at Malaga port, according to the councilor of Tourism in Nerja town hall, Bernardo Pozuelo, who received these professionals of the tourist sector.
The councillor highlighted the importance of the cruising tourism over the last few years, pointing out that “in the Mediterranean alone there are 170.000 beds altogether counting all the ships that do cruises all year round. The seasonality in this sector is inexistent, unlike the hotels of other tourist destinations”.
The tour-operators did a guided tour around the centre of Nerja and visited several places of interest like the famous cave or the Burriana beach.
