Many things are possible during your Family holiday on the Costa del Sol, even a short trip to Africa. All you have to do is travel to Estepona. There is a 40-hectare area where you can set off with your kids on exciting safaris and much more.

Walking across a 65 metre long and 15-metre-high suspension bridge is sure to provide adrenaline-fuelled moments for young and old alike. Or how about a round of ziplining, trampolining and archery? A great family adventure awaits you here!

Experience animals in semi-freedom and if you want you can even stay overnight in the heart of nature in comfortable African-style villas.

By the way, on their website you also find the Benalmadena Cable car and the Benalmadena Dolphinarium, two other great family ideas.

Júzcar, the Smurf village

Juzcar smurf village

Abou 25 kilometres Ronda lies a small village that is painted completely blue.

There is a reason for this, of course: in 2011, Júzcar was used as a film set for the film “The Smurfs” and the inhabitants simply couldn’t part with this colour.

So it stayed blue – and since then the village has become a charming destination for children who have taken the little blue characters to their hearts. Even Smurf weddings and Smurf markets are occasionally held – when the inhabitants dress up as Smurfs. Great fun!

Aventura Amazonia, Marbella

An hour’s drive from Marbella, in the middle of Serranía de Ronda, lies this natural site.

The special thing about the place, apart from the natural beauty, is a 3 km linear route where you can discover all kinds of magical beings integrated in nature, carved and sculpted in wood by the local artist Diego Guerrera.

This visit is more for nature-loving families who also want to combine a day in the countryside with a special visit.
