Leave a commentMalaga has designed a program of cultural activities to make the cruisers’ visit to the city more pleasant. Coinciding with the ten days of most activity of the year at Malaga port and with the berth of the ‘Queen Mary 2’ for the first time, the councillor of Tourism, Trade and Sport, presented yesterday an initiative that will begin this Friday and will be repeated every time a cruise arrives at the city’s port. They organise guitar concerts, dancing shows and gastronomic tastings of olive oil, wine and ham, in different places of the city centre, like the Constitution square, the Alcazabilla street or the Obispo square, from 10am to 12pm.

Malaga, the second largest city of Andalusia, has developed in recent years into a popular tourist destination. In the past tourists just used the large airport to travel to the Costa del Sol or Andalusia, but only a few visitors made a trip into the city. That has changed now. In the city centre, the old houses have been completely renovated, inviting for a pleasurable stroll in the historic part of Malaga, among squares and Museums. Numerous bars and restaurants invite you to a tapas tour and in the narrow streets there is a lively atmosphere.
