Estepona is one of the most exclusive destinations on the Costa del Sol. It is, along with Marbella, the municipality with the most 5-Star hotels and some of the best golf courses.
This makes it the ideal destination for the affluent clientele who prefer to keep a low profile and enjoy a quiet holiday with the best facilities.
Situated in the westernmost part of the Costa del Sol, very close to the Strait of Gibraltar, this beautiful fishing village has managed to maintain much of its essence.
In case you didn’t know, Estepona has 7 excellent golf courses, with 9, 18 and up to 36 holes, fantastic scenery and spectacular views. And in some of them you don’t even have to leave your hotel grounds to play.
Since recent years, the municipality has continuously invested in beautifying the streets and squares of its old town.
For this reason, in recent years it has been given a name of its own: The Garden of the Costa del Sol.
The only drawback of Estepona is the poor public transport options and its relative distance from Malaga airport.
So, in any case we would recommend hiring a car at Malaga airport or opting for a private transfer service.
