Today, Torremolinos is one of the main destinations on the Costa del Sol. Many tourists come to this town looking to enjoy its excellent coast, amongst other tourist attractions that this Andalusian locality offers.
Torremolinos gathers such beautiful spots of a profound popular essence, like the Carihuela fishing district, amongst many other traces of its rich past, like the Homage Tower (Torre del Homenaje).
The municipality continuously livens up with a wide variety of typical festivities. The fried fish (“Pescaito Frito”) is undoubtedly the great host of the gastronomy, not only in Torremolinos, but in every single town along the coast.
The vast majority of the hotels in Torremolinos are located very close to the beaches, that are the summer’s main lure. For its proximity to Malaga, only 12 kms away, it witnesses a long intense history of which Greek, Phoenician, Roman and Arab traces have been found in the area.
El Bajondillo, La Carihuela, Los Alamos or Playamar are some of the fantastic beaches that decorate this coast, which hosts many important hotel resorts, and even the famous Conference Hall where many important international meetings take place.
Torremolinos is a destination that will not leave you indifferent and you simply cannot miss out on.
