If you are in Malaga at the end of April and beginning of May, you can’t miss one of the most popular events, the International People´s Fair in Fuengirola!

What is so special about the International People´s Fair in Fuengirola?

Fuengirola is, together with Mijas and Torremolinos, one of the municipalities of the Costa del Sol with more than 120 different nationalities in its census. In other words, it stands out for its enormous multiculturalism.

In 1994, this gave birth to the first edition of the International People’s Fair, where 8 participating countries presented their culture.

Over the years, more and more countries joined in. Today this fair is one of the star events in the events calendar of Malaga, attracting around one million visitors to the fairgrounds of Fuengirola.

There are more than thirty booths on the site where more than 30 countries present their traditions, gastronomy and crafts every day.

Every day there are live performances by the different groups on the stage at the fairgound´s central Plaza de España and in their respective booths.

Admission is free.

Visitors have the chance to circumnavigate the world in just five days, visiting more than thirty countries, with stops in destinations such as:

Parade of all nationalities

The Parade of all nationalities is one of the favourite moments because of its enormous vivacity and colour. Don’t miss it!

International People´s Fair in Fuengirola

The parade will feature folklore groups from the countries represented and with over a thousand participants.

The parade will take place on Wednesday 1st May. It will start at 11:30 am from the Plaza del Ayuntamiento (Town Hall Square) and will go to the Recinto Ferial (Fairgrounds).

Our recommendations

Due to the large number of visitors, it is very difficult to find parking in the area.

We recommend using public transport or one of the nearby public car parks.

The Fairground is located 10 to 15 minutes walk from the Cercanías C-1 train station and the bus station.
