One of the mayor tourist resorts along the Costa the Sol is Fuengirola, about 30 kilometers from Málaga Airport, which combines multinational tourism with both national and international visitors from especially northern Europe.

Fuengirola is predominantly urban with many Hotel and apartment resorts and is more popular with families and middle aged couples, which doesn´t mean at all that you couldn´t find a wide offer of leisure time and nightlife for all ages along the, beaches, the sea promenade and the marina.

Fuengirola’s most important monuments are Arabian Castle Sohail, the watchtower of Torreblanca and the parish churches.

Important local festivities are the Easter week and the October fair, with a great number of visitors.

Apart from Marbella, Fuengirola has a great variety of shops, warehouses, shopping centres and smaller designer boutiques.
