Here you have at a glance the dates of all the fairs in Malaga for July. Enjoy the typical Andalusian atmosphere, lots of joy and colour, dancing and gastronomy.

Among all the fairs mentioned here for this month, the Estepona fair stands out as one of the most important in the festive calendar of the province, together with the Malaga fair in August and the Fuengirola fair in October.

Estepona Fair –  1 to 7 July

As mentioned before, the fair in Estepona is one of the most important in the province of Malaga.

For almost a week the whole town is engaged in music, colour, dance, parades of floats and folklore shows. As a matter of fact, working life in Estepona practically comes to a standstill.

Benajarafe Fair – 11 to 14 July

Benajarafe Fair

There will be children’s cars, live musical performances and a wide range of activities for children and adults.

On Thursday 10th July is children´s day with discounts on the rides.

On the 16th the festivity of Virgen del Carmen will take place in the afternoon, which will be carried along the promenade before crossing the waters of the sea to be enclosed at 11 pm in the church of the coastal town.

A moving event with many devotees of the patron saint of fishermen.

Fair of Rincón de la Victoria – 12 to 16 July

Rincón de la Victoria celebrates its Fair in honour of its patron saint, the Virgen del Carmen. The fair, like many others, takes place both during the day and at night, in different locations.

The day and night fair in the Plaza Al Ándalus, and the concerts in the municipal auditorium. The attractions will be located on the Huerta Julián esplanade.

Don’t miss the procession of the Virgin who is carried through the village and then put on a fishermen’s boat and “strolled” out to sea accompanied by many other fishermen’s boats.

Many devotees gather on the beach, often with candles. At around 11 pm the procession takes the Virgen del Carmen back to the church.

Fair of Sayalonga – 19 to 21 July

It may not be one of the biggest fairs in the province, but it is well worth a visit to this small typical white village in the Axarquia region.

The celebrations include an extensive programme with parades, musical performances, foam party and fireworks.

Our Tip: Don’t leave without visiting the Sayalonga Cemetery. It stands out for its octagonal layout and is one of the most visited monuments in La Axarquía. It is the only one in Spain with an octagonal shape.

Fair of Torre del Mar – 22 to 27 July

This fair is also known as the Feria de Santiago y Santa Ana. As in the other coastal towns that celebrate their fairs on these dates, it is dedicated to their patron saint, the Virgen del Carmen, the patron saint of fishermen.

This procession passes through the streets of Torre de Mar and then the Virgin is embarked and taken out to sea, all accompanied by many of the faithful and devotees.

During this fair there is an extensive programme of activities, both during the day and at night, such as flamenco shows, parades, concerts, competitions and other leisure activities.

On the 26th of July, the day of Santa Ana, the maritime-terrestrial procession takes place through the streets of Torre del Mar. On this day the streets are decorated to accompany the “Star of the Seas” on her walk to the sea. Thousands of people wait for her as she passes by and praise her.

This Procession has been declared a Festival of Tourist Interest in Andalusia.

La Cala de Mijas Fair – 24 to 28 July

La Cala de Mijas Fair will be held from the 24 to the 28 of July 2024 in the fairgrounds of La Cala de Mijas, in Mijas Costa. The Feria also has a Day Fair at the Torreon de la Cala. There you can enjoy live music, food and drink.

During these days there are concerts and performances, a children’s party, a fancy-dress competition and a horse and carriage ride. There are also flamenco singing and fishing competitions on the beaches of La Cala.

The festivities begin with a Cavalcade of Giants and Big-heads, which goes through the main streets of La Cala accompanied by music bands.

Fair in Cómpeta – 25 to 28 July

If you think there won´t be going on a lot in a village of less than 4.000 inhabitants, then come to the Cómpeta fair!

This white village situated at more than 600 m above sea level in La Axarquia is very enthusiastic about its fiestas.

There is a foam party, live concerts, dance performances, free paella. And the traditional pilgrimage through the village to the Hermitage in honour of San Sebastián.

The highlight of the Feria is the traditional “Catching the Ribbon“, which dates back to medieval times. With modalities for both children (by bike) and adults (with horse or motorbike).

Almáchar Fair – 26 to 28 July

This white village of Arabic origin located in the Axarquia region is the centre of the Raisin Route and the birthplace of Ajoblanco soup.

So now you have a few more reasons for a visit there besides celebrating at its Feria.

The fair in honour of Virgen del Amparo is not going to be very boring either. Every night there will be live concerts, as well as other activities during the day:

Music, Dances, Copla singing, Choir, Inflatables, Paella…. with bar service, good atmosphere and lots of fun.
