The final stretch of a weak month for cruise arrivals, seems to be livening up. Two cruise ships, with a capacity for over 7.000 cruisers, will be docking today at Malaga port. With this mass arrival of tourists from the high seas, the town hall of Malaga will be reactivating the program of activities to make the visit of these tourists around the historical centre, more attractive.
At eight o’clock this morning, the ‘Independence of the Sea’ arrived at the port, with a capacity for 4.328 passengers. Four hours later, the ‘Costa Mediterranea’ will be arriving, with 2.680 travellers. As a matter of fact, the management of ‘Costa Cruceros’ will be presenting the cruise itinerary catalogue for 2013, today in Malaga.
The visitors will be receiving a gastronomic guide of Malaga
The tourists that visit the city of Malaga and that decide to stay in the vicinity of the historical centre, will be offered a gastronomic guide with over 85 establishments in the sector, located between this area and the Malagueta area. This initiative, that is still under development, is mainly aimed at the cruisers with the intention of showing the visitors all the establishments with Malaga’s typical gastronomy, “which is what the tourist requires”, according to David Pardo, the creator of this guide together with Alejandro Moreno. The guide is expected to be shared out towards the end of this year.
