Riu will open in Torremolinos its first ‘adults only’ hotel of Andalusia and the second in Spain as recommended for couples looking for maximum peace of mind during their holiday. These establishments are geared to couples who want to enjoy a romantic stay during their vacation, with maximum comfort and relaxation.
The Riu Nautilus in Torremolinos starts operations from April, but opens its doors to the public on March 1 after a comprehensive reform in which this chain has invested five million euros in this four star hotel with 293 rooms.
The Riu Nautilus, situated along the promenade of Torremolinos and about 700 metres from Puerto Marina in Benalmadena, offers as novelty a heated indoor pool with Jacuzzi, a new gym and massage service.
Thus, Riu, with three hotels on the Costa del Sol, is positioned in a booming segment and in high demand in international markets. The number of hotels that are dedicated to this segment is not yet significant, but it is increasing due to the demand of foreign tour operators and most existing portals or tour groups that move exclusively this type of business.
This segment, where is avoided that families with children are staying at these hotels to create an atmosphere of greater tranquillity exclusively for couples or individual tourists, is increasing its share by designing a type of offer in which families do not fit because they do not have the usual services that are requested when traveling with children. The renovated Riu Don Miguel in Playa del Ingles in Gran Canaria was, from November 1, 2012, the first adults only Riu hotel in Spain.
