The Provincial Council of Malaga has extended the mobile app “Costa del Sol-Malaga” for augmented reality smartphones to English, French and German.
This system includes complete information of the 101 municipalities in the province of Malaga, with support tools such as video or audio guides and is integrated with the social networks Twitter and Facebook if the user wants to share data on the Costa del Sol in real time.
The application, whose first version (in Spanish) works since last year, can be downloaded for free for smartphones and tablets for the operating systems Google Android and Apple iOS.
From the position where the traveller is situated with his phone or tablet, the application provides data in a radius of ten kilometres and a maximum of 50 points of interest. The application will be continuously updated with new information, videos, photos and tourist resources. It also contains a section on health services and security.
