Located opposite Marbella’s Hotel Don Carlos, Santa Maria’s 18 holes layout of a projected 27 follows the contours of two valleys in which the natural vegetation, streams and four lakes form natural hazards.

The first nine holes are shorter but trickier than the back nine, which are faltter and have wide fairways. Players will find several holes particulary memorable: at the 7th the green is surrounded by bunkers and at the 11th there is a lake and a waterfall by the green.

Other features of Santa Maria are its magnificent clubhouse, its tennis courts and swimming pool, lawn bowls and, for those wishing extras tution, the Diego Morito Golf School which has one of the best reputations on the coast.
