Nerja is the most popular beach resort on the eastern Costa del Sol in Malaga. This whole area is characterized by less development than the western Costa del Sol, making that this ancient fishing town, which at the time of the Arabs was known for its silk production, has maintained the charm typical of coastal towns and until now has escaped the massive construction.

Although this small town is far more peaceful than their neighbours in the western Costa del Sol, however it has a good tourism offer during the summer months. This area is characterized by steep terrain and small coves, which give it a special charm, plus ensure excellent water quality as it is continuously filtered by the rocks; therefore it is an excellent area for diving. Due to the proximity of high mountains, this area also has a subtropical micro-climate, where are grown tropical plants like avocado or mango.
