During your stay in Marbella you should not miss the old town with its collection of cultural and historical monuments, squares and streets, which remains practically preserved since the 16th century.

The original city centre was formed of 44 narrow streets and one main square, which still exist today.

Many of these streets were named after values of religious importance such as Remedios, Virgen de los Dolores, Trinidad , Cruz , Charity Street, Gloria; or after the contemporaneous conquerors of these epochs, such as Mendoza and Buitrago; and as well as simple local allusions, such as Pasaje, Panadería , Alamo, Viento or the Los Caballeros.

The historic centre is excellently preserved and it favors an intense commercial life, where you can find the most diverse establishments, in an area of white washed side streets and balconies abundant with geraniums.
