Malaga trekking Sierra Nieves - Torrecilla
About 8 hours.
Route Sierra de las Nieves - Los Quejigales - Torrecilla.
We start leaving the Quejigales country house we shall walk
along a track for about 500 m. and then leave it in order
to make our way through a valley wooked with pine trees.
Then, we must climb up the Cañada del Cuerno crossing
a beautiful forest of fir trees and gaining height along a
twisting track.
From here, the Pilones mountain pass can be found, wich is
the starting point for interesting routes through the Sierra
de las Nieves.
From Pilones mountain pass a track leads to a television relay,
wich we shall leave on the left in order to start to descend
among gall oaks, not very frequent at this height.
From here, the Pico del Torrecilla can be seen. Its 1.919
m. will be a point of reference in order to arrive at the
foot.
