At Lauro Golf, where one of the interesting touches
is that each of its holes bears the name of a famous Spanish bullfighter,
you will find a course of considerable natural beauty. It stands next
to the protected forest of the Sierra de Mijas and the course, carefully
levelled for the parkland layout, has been planted with pine, orange
and lemon trees.

Many of the fairways are cut between lines of olives
trees and, to make the course even more challenging, there are serveral
formidable water hazards. Watch out for the water protecting the 9th
and 18th greens near the clubhouse, an old "cortijo" built
around a shaded central patio with an attractive open-air restaurant.
Another particulary challenging hole is the 4th,
where the steep uphill slope makes the pin seem much closer than it
really is. From Málaga airport and Torremolinos, Lauro Golf
is about a 20 minute drive alogn the C-344 road toward Coín. If
you would like to book a golf holiday, playing at any of
the great courses listed on this website please contact
us and we will pass your enquiry to Malaga Holidays. |
