  • Semana Santa in Malaga

The week from Palm Sunday to Easter Sunday is called in Spanish “Semana Santa”, Holy Week and especially in Malaga, the capital of the Costa del Sol, it is impressively celebrated. Culmination of Semana Santa are the processions through the city centre of Malaga, where the fraternities and thousands of devotees are following carefully detailed polychrome wooden statues of Virgin Mary and Jesus Christ. The streets are packed with people and the atmosphere is really unique. Whether you are religious or not, this deep rooted tradition in Andalusia will not leave you indifferent and you should have experienced it at least once.

The Costa del Sol is not called Costa del Golf without reason! Along the coast of Malaga province we find a large number of first-class 18-hole golf courses. A golfer’s dream to be able to play again after the winter break in the sunshine – and this with the magnificent views of the Mediterranean.

The hinterland of the province of Malaga is stunning, with impressive mountain ranges, green valleys and the famous white villages. Whether for nature lovers, a walking holiday or those who want to escape the hustle and bustle of the coast, where you can just relax. Since the small villages sometimes don´t have hotels, is recommended a private vacation house in the country. Here you can enjoy the wonderful nature at its best.
