Malaga has designed a program of cultural activities to make the cruisers’ visit to the city more pleasant. Coinciding with the ten days of most activity of the year at Malaga port and with the berth of the ‘Queen Mary 2’ for the first time, the councillor of Tourism, Trade and Sport, presented yesterday an initiative that will begin this Friday and will be repeated every time a cruise arrives at the city’s port. They organise guitar concerts, dancing shows and gastronomic tastings of olive oil, wine and ham, in different places of the city centre, like the Constitution square, the Alcazabilla street or the Obispo square, from 10am to 12pm.

The managing director of the tourist board, who will be taking over the Malaga Tourism management as from the 1st of May, , participated in a presentation in which he justified this project by adding that the tourists should not just settle for discovering and getting to know the city’s patrimony.

Meanwhile, in the historical centre there was an avalanche of eight thousand cruisers that arrived at Malaga port first thing in the morning on three huge ships.
