Holidays in Torremolinos, Costa del Sol

Torremolinos enjoyed an unprecedented tourist boom in the sixties, like much of the Spanish coast, which transformed a small fishing port in one of the reference destinations for anyone looking for sun and beach tourism with excellent infrastructure. This city does offer an almost boundless hotel capacity, extremely wide beaches to stroll along the sea promenade and a lively and varied nightlife.

To continue the theme of animals, Torremolinos also offers the possibility to visit the Crocodile Park, a unique park in Europe with more than 16.000 m2 and a lake of 6.000 m2 with 5 large islands in which live more than 300 crocodiles of different species and countries. Of course for most people, Torremolinos means sandy beaches because it offers spectacular beaches such as El Bajondillo or La Carihuela, very long beaches (more than 3 km between the two) and an average width of 40 m that offer all the amenities of urban beaches located in the heart of the town; along an endless promenade in terms of entertainment, catering or selling all kinds of items.

Most athletes prefer the beach Los Alamos which is further away from the centre; a semi urban family beach and which due to the quality of its waves and the wind attracts many fans of surfing, kite surfing and body-boarding.
