Torremolinos is situated 12kms away from Malaga, forming part of its bay with a coast of almost 7kms, right in the heart of the Costa del Sol. Due to its privileged location between the Malaga bay and the foothills of the Mijas mountains, Torremolinos has a great, typical Mediterranean climate.

Torremolinos receives visitors practically 12 months a year. It offers its visitors the opportunity to splash away in the warm waters of the Mediterranean sea.

The old headland of Torremolinos or the Englishman’s Castle separate the East and West beaches. The six main beaches are: Los Alamos, Playamar, Bajondillo, La Carihuela, Montemar and El Saltillo.

The Torremolinos beaches were equipped with the best facilities and, every year they surprise us with more and better services that guarantee the cleanliness of their fine sand and clear water.

All these efforts are recognised every year by the European Union through the concession of the Blue Flag award. All the beaches in Torremolinos are accessible from the seafront promenade. In general, they have dark sand and moderate waves and get pretty packed during the summer months.

There is a wide range of hotels in Torremolinos. However, don’t leave your bookings for the last minute, specially in high season!
