Costa del Sol MotorwayThe province of Malaga is hosting this week the opening of two new motorways. This implementation is, on the one hand, a revolutionary improvement of access to the Costa del Sol as an alternative to the motorway A-45 for travelers from the interior of the peninsula; and on the other, a release for the saturated ring roads of Malaga, with a transit of about 190,000 vehicles a day among which are large numbers of tourists heading to the western coast of Malaga.

The first inauguration took place on Thursday October 27, with entry into service around 10 am of the second phase of the ring road, linking the Guadalhorce motorway to Torremolinos. The second, just a day later, on Friday 28, opened at 1 pm the toll motorway of Las Pedrizas (AP-46).

According to its promoters, the toll road Las Pedrizas can reduce average 30 minutes of travel time between the Costa del Sol and inland, a period that may even reach between 60 and 120 minutes in high season.

The price of the toll road will be, including VAT, EUR 3.05 in low season and EUR 4.60 in high season, understood as the period from June to September plus Easter and Christmas.
